When will I know my child's team & schedule?
A welcome email will be sent out approximately one week prior to kick off. All team and schedule information can be found in the Playmetrics app.
What is the Playmetrics app? Do I need it? How do I get it?
To enhance your experience with our soccer program, we have invested in a sports management program. With Playmetrics, you will be able to access your account, registration, and team schedule all in one place. Field status, communication and scheduling will be done in this app so please be sure to download it. You can do so by clicking here for Google play or here for the Apple app store.
Where will league be played?
There are multiple locations so please refer to your schedule in the Playmetrics app.
What does my child need to wear/bring?
We encourage our players to look the part which includes:
What else does my soccer player need to bring?
Each player should bring his/her own size 3 soccer ball.
Will they be playing games?
Feet First: Yes! The first part is the practice session immediately followed by a 3v3 or 4v4 goal-to-goal game for divisions U4 and up. The U3 division will continue to have a 45 minute practice session where they score their own goals.
Step Up Soccer Academy: Yes, teams will have 4v4 scrimmage on game days.
What if there's bad weather?
While we cannot predict the weather, we will do our best to make weather-related decisions that ensure the safety and enjoyment for players, families & coaches. If inclement weather interferes with a league day, we will notify you of the postponement/cancellation via the Playmetrics app and post on social media.
When will weather decisions be made?
We know that it takes a good deal of preparation to get your child and everything ready for soccer. Because of this, we make every effort to have league. As you know, the weather can change on a dime (clear up or get stormy) so last-minute decisions are sometimes needed. As a guideline, decisions will be made no earlier than 3pm on weekdays and 8am on the weekends.
What happens if League is cancelled?
If two or more sessions are cancelled, we will offer a make-up league day for the 2nd (or more) cancellation. This pertains to Step Up practices as well. In other words, if two sessions are cancelled, there will be one make up. If three sessions are cancelled, there will be two make ups.
Is there anything else I need to know?
You will be receiving a series of three emails that highlight "How to Have a Successful League Season." Keep an eye out for them in your email inbox.
Who can I contact with more questions?
We love hearing from our families! You can reach us via email at info@nashvilleupstartathletics.com or text (615) 873-0404 You can also follow us on social media
What is your heat policy for summer?
See below for our guidelines. Please note that this is a guideline and cancellations/adjustments will still be communicated out. Adjustments to sessions may include things such as: more water breaks, a shorter session, more focus on individual skill practice. In any season or situation, safety is always a top priority for our players, coaches & families. Please remember to bring plenty of sunscreen and water. We understand that everyone has different sensitivities to the heat so parents, please make decisions based on what is best for you and your child.
